Post box

Just a thought…
Why is there no post box around the biggest interchange and one of the major train station in England? All post boxes are about 1/2 mile from the main entrance of Clapham Junction station.
As Clapham Junction’s post office doesn’t even have a post box outside the office hour, is there a specific policy to restrict residents to post their mail in the area?
Train stations are major traffic points, we would expect a post box available, as for Putney station (picture). Sometime improvements can be small, not too expensive but highly noticeable.

  1. At the risk of sounding sarcastic this is Such a good point and it would be great to get an answer!
There used to be postboxes in the wall of the post office, but these were boarded up and I guess replaced with the one in the sorting office. I seem to remember the one by Donna Margarita being boarded up around the same time, although it’s working now – perhaps there was a outbreak of misuse in 2003 that we’re still being punished for?!
Either way, the post office isn’t That near the station anyway – a station post box would be great.
    This shows where they are:

I’m always surprised how many there are considering they never seem to be in the direction that I’m heading…
